Energy Solutions Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Perform Level I and Level II energy efficiency audits on commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Gather, analyze and report on quantitative and qualitative energy data to support client recommendations.
  • Identify and prioritize potential measures for reducing and managing energy costs including estimated costs and savings.
  • Deliver recommendations and work with clients to develop a long term energy management plan.
  • Advise and assist clients on the execution of various applicable incentives (credits and rebates) and financing programs.
  • Work with a network of vendors and solutions providers to implement energy efficiency measures.
  • Provide project management and oversight on the execution of construction projects and the measurement and verification of resulting demand reduction.

Travel

Regional 80%; Overnight 15%

Salary

Commensurate with experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations or facilities management or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Energy Manager, Certified Property Manager or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities/energy engineering or facilities/energy management with demonstrated success in reducing energy costs and familiarity with the following topics and building systems:
    • Utility Purchasing
    • Construction Management
    • Building Commissioning
    • Lighting Systems
    • Compressed Air Systems
    • Chiller Systems
    • Refrigeration
    • Premium Efficiency Motor Retrofits
    • Variable Speed Drive Retrofits
    • Energy Management Systems (Demand Control)
    • Process Improvements
    • Fan/Pump Systems
    • Combined Heat/Power Systems (Co-Generation)
