Pittsburgh, February 3, 2010 &ndash eCap Network, LLC is now providing comprehensive energy management services for smaller- and mid-sized industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal facilities. eCap Network specializes in designing projects that conserve energy and reduce emissions while helping clients reduce costs and generate new revenue. eCap Network also identifies sustainable solutions that maximize overall energy and resource efficiencies. Its client base includes individual facilities as well as organizations and associations with multiple facilities across geographic regions. Its services include comprehensive planning, financial assistance, curtailment, brokered power, energy credits and distributed generation.
A unique feature of the eCap Network business model is an outreach and marketing initiative called 3rd SOURCE. This initiative, designed with funding from the Richard King Mellon Foundation and The Heinz Endowments, brings comprehensive energy management solutions and new revenue sources to non-profit organizations and their constituents. By becoming 3rd SOURCE Partners, non-profit organizations, associations and municipalities with industrial, commercial or institutional stakeholders, can leverage the relationships they have with facility managers to promote, educate and share in the financial benefits of projects designed to reduce energy consumption and “carbon footprint.”
“The 3rd SOURCE initiative is ideally suited to assist non-profit organizations seeking to enhance and better serve their core mission and stakeholders,” says John Werling, eCap Network’s president and a longtime business management consultant with strong ties to business and not-for-profit sectors.
“eCap Network is a comprehensive energy management solutions provider that uses energy needs and regulations as mechanisms to generate lower costs, reduced emissions and new sources of revenue for our clients,” Mr. Werling continues. “By networking with companies, government organizations and non-profits, we’re helping to create mutually beneficial relationships that have economic, environmental and social impact.”
According to Mr. Werling, “Most energy management consultants have a ‘point-of-view’ based on the services or products they sell, and their solutions reflect that bias. In contrast, we are organized as an impartial third party representing the best interests of the client.”
After 18 months in development, eCap Network, LLC launched business operations in January 2010. The vision and mission of eCap Network were created in collaboration with Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation and World-Class Industrial Network, LLC, and with guidance and support from the Pittsburgh Central Keystone Innovation Zone.
eCap Network, LLC will be an anchor tenant in the future “Green Innovators Center” being developed at the site of the Connelley Career and Technical Training Center in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood. Interim offices will be located at One Hope Square onCentre Avenue and Riverwalk Corporate Center on East Carson Street. eCap Network, LLC plans to employ 17 energy management professionals in its first few years of operation.
When eCap Network is operating at full capacity, the organization expects to initiate and manage for its clients more than $30 million of annual investments in energy efficiency programs capital improvements.
